Thanks for clearing that up.......It explains a lot.

So what are your thoughts on my new design?

Kyle,
I like the new design, though having seen all the semi-design changes your site has gone through recently I think it is time you had a brain storming session in which you decided on a good design and spent a lot of time designing it so you would not feel the need to change the site so often - a new design every 6 months seems the norm for major players (like c-net.com etc.)

- The left column tables are not quite placed right in IE4, try moving them more to the left.

- The banner is not flush with the right column of tables (how is the AllAdvatage banner doing payment wise?)

- The right column looks like it should be shrunk as most of the content is only about 90 pixels wide.

- Used links appear in grey which is hard to distinguish on white background.

Otherwise, looks fairly good, and is easy to navigate.

Kyle,
Shame about the other design, I quite liked it (it looked fine on my monitor).
Anyway, this page looks neat, and is easy to navigate.
However:
- Try using mouseovers for your link images on the left, to make them more noticable.

- The site looks a bit empty, have you taken away some text?

- The logo, looks quite good, but I think the word simple would look would look good withought all the shadowing.

Thanks for the feedback JP. I still have some more to add to this site. I will look into making mouseovers.

I went to this design in order to be able to use a little more text to promote certain items and sites. My other design had to much of its space taken up by the categories.

I will also be looking into making a another logo for my site.

Hey,
What's going on here?
Why is this reply down as coming from Kyle when I replied to a Curtis post?
Is this some sort of cookie problem, or am I my normal confused self?

Looks like I accidently named Curtis - Kyle, and coincidently Kyle has also changed his site. My comments are therefor valid for Curtis' site. Sorry Curtis/Kyle.

I'm of to get some much needed sleep.

Hi there,
I think your site looks great. Nice colors great logo. I just noticed one thing in the subheading "webhosting made simple" the Character spacing looks funny--too much space between the W eb and the sim ple -- (sorry I'm a type freak --- Could be either the font or the graphics program (paint vs. drawing)
take care,

Hi JP!

Oh, sorry about the link, forgot.

Thanks for your opinions, I will try to implant them. About the shadowing on the Simple. Why don't you like it? On my screen, I think it looks cool.

Thanks
Curtis

Curtis,
Better, but I would still make the links into images to match the rest of the side bar.
I don't like the logo/simple word only because I think the double shadow complicates the visual effect. Just stick to one shadow I would say.
Thanks for the link.

JP,

Are you sure, the index page redirects you to: http://www.1simple.com/home.shtml

That might be the problem. Or your ISP. I can ask my provider, but every time I think they are down, I'm wrong.

Thanks
Curtis

Curtis,
I'm still not to keen on the shadowing of the logo.
The newsletter image is not flush/centered with the form.
On the left hand column you move from black text images to white text. I would keep with the initial images all the way down.
oh, and you dropped my link
Don't you have any pictures you could use to break the text? It would improve the feel of the site.

Hi Guys!

I have redisgned my site again. Can you tell me what you think?

http://www.1simple.com/

Pss. JP, I think this was the old layout that you liked. Wink

Thanks in advance. If you don't hear from me today, I will be back tommorrow. I'm leaving to go to a lake about 2 hours from me and ride my brothers wave runner.

Thanks
Curtis

Curtis,
I like it though I think the mouse overs should all be the same colour.
