take a look at my site and let me know what you think. A general review would do. If you do see something in particular, I would greatly appreciate you pointing it out.

Looks ok.

- Those backgrounds are out of popularity. Use like a plain color not one of those textured ones.

- The logo needs some work. The blue circle thing that keeps moving hurts my head.

- Think up a color scheme for the site and use it.

Not sure what else sure Megan will be able to.

Ummm.... well.... I think that what you need to do is look at good design and high profile websites and really look at what they're doing. Patterned backgrounds are generally not the way to go anymore (although there are always exceptions to that). Colour scheme is also important - you need to really think about this.

You'll also notice that layout organization is really important. You need to have a real navigation menu that appears on every page. The centered stuff at the bottom of the page isn't enough. Centering is generally a newbie thing to do. It really makes things hard to read and generally looks unprofessional. I would recommend that you find a book on print design - a lot of those principles can be applied to the web (basic stuff about alignment, relatioships between elements, contrast etc.)

Also watch your use of fonts. It's usually best to use a maxiumum of two different fonts in your design (and they should be totally different from each other). You've got a script, a sans-serif, and a decorative (computer-style) font in your logo. Then you've used a different script for page headings for some of them.

Another thing is that text should not span across the entire page (this is one of the reasons why left side menus are so popular). If you have a larger screen resolution it gets hard to read text if it goes all the way across the page.

Good luck!

I totally agreed with Megean.
The goal of any Web site is to deliver quality content to its intended audience and to do so with an elegant design.

I went to webmaster-forums.net. I learned a lot of information from its website, but I have few suggestions for webmaster-forums,net.

Speed of the website is very slow.
Adding some viedo tourial for some new visitors will be perfect.
Site navigation aid should be on every webpage.
Customer support is very important too.
Colorful content or backgroud can attract people.
No staff reply for the feedback.
However, as a new visitor, I still love the website because I can learn a lot web design information.

In my opinion, there are too much text on your webpage. could barely attract the visitors to view your webpage for a longer time. You need to add more interesting element in your webpage.

Visually, it’s not very appealing. The plain text on a white background is akin to reading some report or financial document. I do like the navigation bar on top which is good with faster navigation; however, the tabs themselves can use a bit of “texture” and be a bit bigger. The list format is no different than looking up these restaurants in a phone book (real or online). A few graphics and a better color scheme would help out tremendously. Not too sure about the map background? It might make more sense to have a map popup showing restaurant locations or something to that effect, which is helpful for people not familiar with the area.

This site needs some work to be done and here are some of the points.
One thing that bothers me about this site is lack of navigation bar (home\products\about us) that can increase the user navigation speed. It might be nice to provide some background colors and some picture/video for the food offered, this way the design of the site might increase the user expectation. Instead of all that text, there should be just the name of the restaurant with an actual link. A good idea is to offer the option of booking online.

I have a few suggestion for this web site.

~Too much text on a white background with no spacing or even bolded words.

~Could use hotlinks from the name and address of the restaurant to the webpage or more information about the restaurant, more like urbanspoon.

~The background should be clearer, the pixelation on the map makes the whole site seem less professional.

Some of the major things that i noticed first was that it was a pain to navigate on. There is no way to know which page has what restaurant because there is no a-z order and instead has more pages than it needs. It would help if you had a search engine or just being able to jump around according to it alphabetically. Another design aspect I think needs to be changed is that all the text doesn't look like one massive wall that is hard to find information on. I would change the font and also space out the words more so it inst as hard to read. Another beneficial part you could add too the website is too add links to the websites so that people could go see their menus or just get a better idea of what the restaurant is about.

I think your idea/concept is great, a one stop directory for restaurants.
I do find that the site is very overwhelming and busy; I’m not really sure what I’m looking at when I first look at it and would be likely to navigate off the site. I find the home page confusing since its goes right into a listing of restaurant, but yet on the top navigation bar you have it broken down into different categories. If it could somehow be better label or the content could be better categorized within the page, maybe group the same restaurants together under one heading instead of having all the locations listed out. Also the navigation bar at the top would also benefit from an about us, a guided tour and giving users the capability to search the site.
The site could benefit from a better colour and removing the map in the background. Speed wise I found it was quick.

I think you have a solid idea in terms of offering a restaurant directory of this type.

However there needs to be a touch of design that will help better display the content you have. Right now it's all over the place and it's quite hard to make heads or tails out of the information.

Like others have said maybe some sort of nav bar that offers categories or even some form of search option to allow viewers to find what they are looking for.

Change the background as using repeating images like this is not really "modern" in terms of web design.

Overall not a bad concept, but needs some updated design.

In general it is good and the web site provides a nice service, but it is better to enhance the list formatting (font type, font size, and background). also the background image is blurry and needs to be clear. In addition, the footer needs to be well designed and formatted.

Good luck
