Ok, I made two banners:
1.)

and
2.)

I'd like to know first of all what I can do about file size (because I think they might be too big), and if you think the ads themselves are any good. Thanks a lot for your time!

Brian,

I tried reducing # of colors and it seemed to work fine.
I love the different theme, feeling to the banners..nice touch bringing "ppl" into the banners like that. The guy on the edge..that's me Smiling

Hello Brian,

I will address the second banner first. You might try a different person on the side. A profile view might give you a better view. Maybe larger so that you can tell the user is tired. I liked all the text, what you said etc.

On the first banner. You might think about making the time that all the stuff you offer frame is shown just a little longer. As for the picture I really don't like the reference to suicide. I have had two friends who commited suicide and I would not click on the banner just for that reason. Please try to think of another picture you could use. Perhaps a straight jacket, someone banging his/her head against a padded wall, etc.
Again I like what the text said.

As for the size, both banners loaded quite fast on my machine and I don't think the size would be a problem.

I like the second one.

The one with the "over the edge" theme will almost surely offend some people. There are a lot of potential ways for people to get upset by seeing that image.

Still, the second one was really nice and would appeal to a webmaster-- since we are always up late! Smiling

Hi Brian,
I agree with Jim about the reference to suiside -- it's "dark".I think an image like straightjacket, or something to that effect, would get your point across in a "lighter" and more entertaining/appealing way. (person hanging off a cliff?)
The animation is a bit fast, I can't "catch" it all (services frame) in one shot.
Pic on #2 is a little small and I can't tell what it is without giving it a really close look.
I really like the progression of your information.

take care,

I can only agree with our master reviewer, Jim, everything he said was 100% correct - unbelievable! Smiling

You def. need a better images for the second one, profile probably.

For the first when you list all the features, I would use bullet points and have the three columns left aligned.
Good Job!

Ok, I think I will take the suicide reference out once I find a better image. Anyway, I redid the second image... and got it down to only 14 KB! What do you guys think? Any better?

I think their both great now, except for the features frame needs to last longer on first one. Your 1st banner leaves you with the age old question do I risk offending some, to get others. No matter if it's suicide or a straight jacket your gonna offend someone. I thought it (1st) was extremely funny. I laughed out loud while viewing the image and assume other's did just the opposite. Clearly, as always when using an extreme banner, don't put your url on the banner! Because the people it offends aren't gonna click on it and if you don't have your url plastered across it they'll never know who just offended them.

Brian,

I love the second banner now. It catches your eye quickly and you don't have do strain to see what the image is. Smiling
