Dear Web developer, we are so very sorry about IE6...

Not sure if everyone has already seen this, but Microsoft ran this advert in the Drupalcon program guide. It's appreciated, even if IE has caused quite a few people a lot of pain.

On a related note, does anyone remember Netscape 4? That thing really hung around like a bad smell. Smiling

One more thing: Someone on Reddit posted this redux.

Problem, Web developer?

Microsoft was being quite nice at DrupalCon. They helped pay for the opening night party (where there was an open bar!), and I think they had free T-shirts at their booth.

The sad thing is the pain caused by IE6 is still going on, I do regular work with it because many government departments in the UK have still not upgraded!

Agreed there are lots of hangers-on. Seems Microsoft are just as interested in getting rid of IE6 as everyone else, however. Maybe they've realised how badly they've annoyed Web developers by leaving IE to languish for so many years.
