Register.com, tricky, tricky
I just moved three domains from register.com over to GoDaddy.com . It seems like honest business practices are gone and deceptive ones are in. They send and email to the owner for approval. I tell the owner to forward the email to me. In the email, at the top of the page, they after telling you about the transfer are 3 links. Clicking on these links will register your site with them and stop the transfer. At the bottom of the page, there are 3 more links to approve the transfer. I suppose that they think that people are idiots and will try to capitalize on that. What a bunch of crooks.

Register.com are angels compared to NetSol/Verisign. The best registrar we've tried (register most of our domains with them) are the OpenSRS resellers, specially http://www.000domains.com/. You'll pay a few dollars more per year, but the service you'll receive incase of problems is well worth the extra dollars. Also they have the best control panel where you can manage your domains.

I agree - OpenSRS and the majority of its resellers are the way to go! Simple, straightforward user interface, great responsive support and good prices.

Sheesh... the lengths people will go to for money.
I reckon GoDaddy offers great service for the price. A better option for the thinner wallets among us.
