New best.com question/problem - Incorrect Login Name Password (Posted by doren)
Many times I get an "Incorrect Login Name Password" when I try to connect via PPP. Now my FTP client is giving me the same message.
I know I am entering the correct log-ins. I suspect this is a generic message meaning "we are experiencing screw ups".
Any advice?

Pick up the phone, call your host and ask them. If they cna't help you figure it out, then they're not worth your money. Most likely however, it's just a problem with some techie messing things up.

Passwords are case sensitive. Make sure you have it exactly right.
