Hi, mates Smiling

Here my matter goes.
It would be cool you to express the opinion about the most irritating and annoying things, that could be put into a webpage or webdesign.
Any ideas?

Slow speed, crazy graphics. Oh, I also hate it when I need to lookfor call to action button. I think a site should have a very clear message in the front.

Tonnes of stuff loading (slowly) from external Web sites. I know we have some of those on here, but we try to keep the external cruft to a minimum.

Also, things like giant bars along the bottom of the page, full of lame social networking stuff. It's fine if people want to use services like Facebook, but most of the time they aren't integrating Facebook into every article/page they read. And for people, like me, who aren't interested in social networking it's a massive waste of screen space. Even 'Share this' bars that 'stick' (position: fixed; in CSS) to the bottom or top of the viewport are really annoying.

tl;dr pages that load slowly due to lots of superfluous 'cool' features from external Web sites.

a Padded Cell our articles site!

and what about music and videos, starting automatically? For me personally, that is the first step, indicating I won't probably visit a website again.

Give me five! I dislike the site with music and video start automatically as well. The site seems slow loading and my PC suddenly sound with the unknown music when it is finished loading.

hmmmm... distracting instead.

I agree! I was looking at photography sites awhile ago and almost every single one of them had music playing automatically! I guess they thought they needed to "set the tone" for viewing their portfolio. Please don't.

It's annoying how similar all of those sites were. Nobody had any different ideas ?!!?

For me, one of my biggest pet peeves is intrusive advertising. Especially those in-text contextual pop-ups. I'll probably think of some more late!

The most irritating thing is the speed of uploading the page because if speed is low that will ruin the every effort you made on site.Matt Cuff also said in his tutorial that web page speed is the most important thing of a website.

will agree with you, Anna. Website loading time is greatly significant, cause not every user will wait more than 10 sec. to get info or so

Slowly loading websites with heavy graphics and flash animations are really annoying, also useless pop ups and sites with videos and music who eats your bandwidth are also causing problems.

As you know, there are many "things" implemented into a web page that ticks us off.

So, let's all hear your opinions on the most annoying/irritating things that someone can add to their web page.

+1 to the mentioned items.

I absolutely agree with you. When a site is greatly crowded, and user can't find required thing, search or sitemap options are of great assistance.

As to owner address, we feel ourselves much more comfortable when looking through contact details. Such common info inspires confidence about the provided services

Well that would be the Pop-ups and annoying autoplay advertisements. and sometimes having insufficient information for the specific page or topic is also annoying.
