Many like using Dreamweaver

(personally I do not use it and dread the files that designers give me using it)

But it is a good wysiwyg tool - I think good for learning

Another good one is CoffeeCup

Many CMS such as Drupal and Joomla include rich text editors for adding content kinda-sorta wysiwyg, much like using MS Word.

I agree with decibel.places here. WYSIWYG tools are great as far as they go, but if something goes wrong, which happens to the best of us, you will be floundering for ages unless you understand the basics of coding.

My recommendation would be to check out the HTML Basics tutorials at Dev.Opera's Web Standards Curriculum. It is more up-to-date than the W3Schools curriculum, which is looking a bit old hat now.

If you're serious about getting into web design you really should use something that lets you get into the code. Which operating system do you use? A good text editor with syntax highlighting and a few other tools would be a good thng to start with.

Another option you could look at is using a simple content management system like Wordpress. This would let you get up and running with your website quite easily, and you don't have to bother with a lot of code.

Adobe Dreamweaver is the best software for beginners. It will help to write the coding easily.

Fortunately, there's now a simpler setup solution with NOOBS (New Out of Box Software) that guides you through the whole process.

I would suggest that you try to use multiple website builder like Adobe Dream Weaver and something like Notepad++, Although there are many website builder software nowadays but it's really nice to start with the basic while using some advanced software, study what does the code do and what's the use of that particular code.
