Maybe I'm the only one having this problem, but at least 3 times now I've posted a message to only see it vanish into thin air.

Before I give a possible explanation are you sure you have posted the message and then seen it in the thread. It could be (it's happened to me) that you pressed submit and then missed the message (out of habit) warning you that, say, your password was incorrect...

Yep, that has happened to me. I have a different password for here and my tech support forums. I forget to use the password for here, click submit, and get an "incorrect password" message.

Could be, I'll watch much closer. The thing is that I post on many forums and have no such problems there. Therefore, it would be a wicked coincidence that all my eaten post happen here. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for Bigfoot (myth or reality), the post eater.
