Need an NT Server !?!

Hi,

I'm tired of my current web hosting company, and I am seriously considering purchasing a server. I need an NT server, but since I am neither a hardware expert nor a networking expert, I am not really sure which server features I need to get (dual processors, hot swappable, etc.)

I would really appreciate some advice about purchasing an NT server since I don't want to spend too much money, and the servers that I've research range anywhere from $3,000 to infinity.

Thanks.

Eugene,

Knowing what this server is going to do would be extremely helpful.

Basics for an NT server are a little higher than for UNIX. NT is a resource hog really, and requires a machine with higher specs. You can get by with 128 MB RAM, but I highly suggest at least 256 MB RAM. CPU, you should probably go with at least a PII 400 Mhz but again, the bigger the better Hard drive is going to depend on what you will be putting on the server. Those are the three basics, you can work out from there.

If you would like, contact me on ICQ (31723855) or via e-mail ( [email protected] ) and I would be happy to help you find a server that fits your needs.

BTW, REALLY nice site!
