Another newbie ?, My website was created by a developer. I asked him to provide me with ftp user/name & password. Now, that I have it, I was able to find a site that enabled me to view the files.

Just curious, what would the procedure be if I wanted to make changes to one of the files and upload them to the site. The files are being hosted on his server.

Files uploaded via ftp will change what you already have on the site. Some ftp clients will ask you if you want to overwrite files on the server. Others will just overwrite without asking.

you can use online ftp or a local ftp program to upload files to the server. Duplicate filenames get overwritten with a warnig or no warning at all... Most of the time you have the option to warn when overwriting...

It can be easy as using your Internet Explorer or Mozilla as your FTP client.
