Nothing has happened yet. I have been pulled in two directions with importance: improving TWF from an aesthetic and functional perspective and improving it on an organization perspective. The aesthetic and functional items took importance as they are easier and less time consuming, allowing me to get them taken care of quickly at first.

I have been able to comlete the majority of the aesthetic and functional requests so it's my plan to move on to this subject next week. I have saved my spare time this week for finishing up some things that I still want to do with my current conquest before I dig into the other.

Please allow me some time to get things done. Time is something I am short of as it is. I promise this is not taking a back-burner but I can only do one thing at a time.

It would be helpful if you could all pitch in ideas and let's come up with a survey that covers all the topics we would like opinions on ... a couple questions have been suggested already and I plan to incorporate them.

Rather than start a new thread, I figure I'll just post in this one. The other thread got off topic and was just too confusing as we were trying to implement new graphics then, too. Now that that's done, I figure it's time to get back to business with the reorganization topic.

For those uninformed, this thread is what this post stems from.

No matter what happens, I will be polling a number of users that are not moderators in some way. I think it would be foolish not to know at least what members are having problems with and what they are not having problems with. That doesn't mean necessarily that their opinions will decide the ultimate outcome of this task but I think it should have bearing on where we end up.

My course of action at this point follows:

- Send notices randomly to new active users with 10-20 posts and send notices randomly to users with 100-500 posts asking about their experience and including quite a few of the questions that have been posted.

- Post responses here so that we can come up with a couple lists of changes that need to be made

- Once we have 3-5 lists, I will post a poll in the general forum asking users to vote on the forum organization that they think will work best. Moderators will also vote.

- During the voting, I also hope to get suggestions on good and bad parts of each list so that we can come up with a list that will benenfit moderators and newcomers.

I think going through this process will really help us create a set of forums that will work... Maybe I'm wrong...

So, Chad, I know you've been busy, but what's the status of this? I guess it would be important to know this before we move on. I think we should take this one step at a time.
