how do I create a drop down menu?

Hello!
I want to make a drop down menu so that it will be more like on microsoft's site http://www.microsoft.com/windows/default.mspx
where you hold your mouse over "Other versions" and a list of different links pops up
I want my site's menu to be similar to that because

as you can see there are a few links under the logo on top of the page and no one seems to notice them.

can someone help please?
