Sony Vaio Laptop Won't Turn On

Hello
I have a Sony Vaio PCG-f610 laptop, and it shut off on its own with no warning and it wont turn back on. The light that usually turns on when the power supply is connected isn't on, but it is connected. I opened up the part with the power button, and that seemed intact, but I can't find anything else wrong.

I emailed Sony Tech support about this but I don't have much faith in them

Any ideas?
