I have just put up the start of the fonts section over at http://www.what-next.com/fonts/fonts.html
Only the Top 10 / A-B / C-D / E-F / #1-9 Categories are up at the moment. But if you could all have a look and give me any comments on this section or/and the whole site I would be ever so grateful.
Thanks,
PS:c'mon y'all I'm sure I have reviewed you're site at one stage... Smiling

Its good to see some different fonts there. Not just the usual ones like most other sites.

Ideas

1.Include the download size in KB. You could put this within an ALT tag within the IMG.

2.You have lots of links running from the page. Have you thought of creating a dynamic menu to contain this info? It would look good on this site.

3.Center the page?

Looks good, I had no trouble navigating the area. The numbers out to the left are a nice effect to keep order through the font images.

One thing though, it made me want to download more fonts! Wink

I might just add the size, thanks for pointing it out.
I would also like to hear more on your dynamic menu idea if you can spare a second.

What was that John, made you want to download more font! I can't have that... Smiling

Hi JP
What a fantastic folder full of fun and funky fonts (say that ten times fast Smiling)
I like the layout and the number of fonts per page -- enough for a good selection without having to wade through tons of pages or fonts per page.
The page does look pretty packed, I think a menu to streamline all of the non font related links would be nice, also maybe some handy articles on font usage, since I think a lot of people tend to overdue the funky fonts on their web sites.

take care,

Hey JP,

Like it! Only suggestion i can make not already said is maybe at the bottom of each list of fonts, have a link to download all fonts on this page (have them all in one zip file).

Ohhhhhh nooooooooo!!! I'm a total 'fontaholic' and I'm not going to be able to help myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are really awesome Fonts. (I once had 500 fonts on my system and had to remove most of them 'cause I could take a nap while waiting for them all to load LOL.) Now I have a whole to playground!

Hey JP,

Lots of nice fonts there. Smiling

Would like the links at the bottom of the page also to go to the next section.

What about MAC users? Where are their fonts?

One thing I really hate is when I download a font and the entire font set is not there. Especially when one letter is missing. Usually the one I need. Sad Maybe a short description of what is included.

Thanks for increasing my font catalog. Sad

Thanks all,
re: size of file.
- I will implement this, thanks.

re: the download all zip,.
- I will also use this idea, thanks Dan.

Calm yourself Roo Smiling

re: link at bottom of page.
- I have set this up as well, thanks Jim.
Mac fonts up soon, I promise.
As for the other suggestion of listing the set to see what fonts are missing, I know what you meant, but imagine the extra clutter this would cause...

Can I understand, by the fact that their are no complaints (bar the navigation suggestion) that the actual design of the site is up to scratch.

Hey Roo,
I ONCE accidently installed all 1200 fonts that come with CorelDraw...that was slow. Not recommended:)
