Hi David!

Looks great! The only thing I can see that might be bad, is you use white text. That will not come out when someone tries to print your web site.

Are you interested in offering your customers web hosting? I can get you setup for free!

Also, what is your basic rate you base any project on. $30 an hour, $40, $50, etc.

Thanks
Curtis

Hello Vladislav,
I have to say that you have a VERY sharp site!! It's clear with a very "polished" look. I'm a little confused about the pictures on the home page, the alt text says PhotoMap, but they all link to the same page.
It might be interesting to see another accent color introduced to your pages, even tiny accents. The bright colors on your banners (bottom of your resources page)-- bright orange might provide some high contrast "spice" to an already great looking web site.
Take care,

Hi. I think that you made a good site design, and liked how you incorporated pictures into the nav bar. Also, Carolyn is right, the photomap is pointing to about.html I think, and that could be confusing. Maybe add a mouseover effect to the top nav bar... glowing around the text or pictures would look nice. I hope this helps

P.S. Kind of off subject, but:
Everyone be careful of any incoming e-mail attachments... There is supposed to be a really nasty virus going around that will strike tomorrow.

OK

Heard about this myself, but I am slightly apprehensive because how would they know when this virus/worm will get released. Is the scum behind it setting an arrival date?
Just a thought.

Not much of a review here, sorry.

Information about the virus can be found here:
http://vil.mcafee.com/vil/vfi_4251.asp

quote:
The CIH virus (a.k.a. "Chernobyl") originated in Taiwan in early June 1998 and hits on the 26th of each month. The most prevalent and
dangerous form of the virus, CIH 1.2, appears once a year on April 26, the anniversary of the Russian nuclear accident.

CIH can destroy a hard drive by overwriting the first 1 MB of each hard disk on the system. It can also eliminate the ability for the computer to start up by overwriting some flash_BIOS chips and rewriting them with garbage.

Oh, I see, how long does it stay active? Thanks Brian.
Maybe I will stay at home tomorow, cowering under my bedsheets!

Howdy,

Thank you very much for all your kind comments. I really appreciate the feedback I've received. If you have something else to say about the site, please do post! I *really* appreciate this feedback.

I plan on doing some minor changes to the site, including making rounded corners, putting in contact information on every page, and changing the main page to be slightly brighter. If you have any other ideas, please tell me! Thanks again, I really do appreciate the feedback!

Sincerely,

There's a program from Symantec that can find it an kill it if it is on your drive. The deadly one, as stated above, strikes on April 26th and I heard somewhere else June 26th. Tomorrow you should be fine
Anyway, the program is at:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/kill_cih.html
I recommend you download it.. it's small (24 KB), and will save a lot of time and money if you are infected.

Very Nice, yea

The only thing that bothers me is the ALT text on the homepage in the imagemaps, might cause confusion.

I'm not crazy about the color theme, but it works, maybe it's just my taste.

Anyway, otherwise it looks very neat, clear and it has a good feel to it

sorry Vladislav for using your critique for a virus forum. I found that CIH virus in my computer in January (it was attached to EVERY exe file on my C drive. I also may have spread it to my sister . I got the fix "kill_cih" which stopped it from spreading. (that file only stops the virus from spreading it doesn't kill or remove it) my sister used that kill_cih file too but she didn't update her antivirus software despite my urging her to. Unfortunately her computer was DEAD when she woke up this morning. I'm not sure if it really was the virus and I don't have a more technically correct word for DEAD, but it looked pretty darn dead to me!

I'm just curious, what would happen if you changed the date on the computer??? Can you set the date on the 25th to be the 27th, then fix it again after the 26th has passed?
sorry again Vladislav

As far as I know I have never come accross this virus - I use an up to date Norton AV. Then again I rarely install much from the internet nowadays.
Lucky me
