Hi there:

Overall, your website looks pretty good, especially I like the color and images. However, could you please add more descriptive or introductive paragraph to each question? So we could know better and clear about your Web Site theme and content.

Accoding the WAVE tool bar detection, there are 3 accessibility erros:
- Linked image is missing an alternative text
- Form Input box for "Search" button is missing a Label
- Form Input box for "Submit Query" button is missing a label

Thanks,

I like the concept but the site doesn't look too inviting and it looks quite bare. Maybe you can add in a blog, some trivia like did-you-know-that kind of stuff and some more images. And instead of just letting people ask a question maybe you can have them share a problem instead. It would be a lot more interesting to read someone explaining more about the kind of problem he/shee is experiencing because we maybe experiencing it too than a mere question that a reader can't empathize with.

Hey!

I think your website has a good beginning. You site has a definite niche that could be helpful to a small community and I think that's really good.

From a User perspective:
I think the website is a bit busy, a bit hard on the eyes. The background color is great, I even enjoy some of the highlighting colors for the navigation bar. I feel the banner however is very lacking . I know it can be very difficult to come up with a good intuitive Logo, but i feel that a good Logo would work better then some text that is hard to read in a banner.
I find it very difficult to know exactly where I am and what I'm supposed to be doing.
I think you should really considering making the Voting images smaller as well as the questions smaller. I feel like your site has really been inspired from www.Digg.Com who has a very good implementation of a voting system. I would take a look at that site and kind of take those ideas and try and transform them over. www.StackOverflow.com is another resource to see how someone has really put a lot of information on one page including a voting, and answering system.
There isn't enough separation between questions. The questions tend to blur into one another and cause irritation to the reader.
I would recommend that you create a spot for a Mandatory Title and a description of the problem. that will give more content and allow the questions to be formed in a more pleasing manner.

This is a big one.
It seems if there is already an answer I can't add a second answer. That could be a big problem.

As a developer:
I'm worried about your access to Categories. Do you give a preset amount of categories? Your list of categories on the right could become very large very fast. You might want to think of a way to streamline this effort.

Keep on going and have fun with it, Hopefully it will turn into a thriving community.

I don't think you need to the number of votes and answers on the side of the questions. That does make it look busy. Try and get yourself a nice logo, right now the logo you are using makes your site come off as amateurish and spammy. Actually overall your site comes off as spammy. I would take some time and add a little bit information about the purpose for the site, gain my trust.

It's very simple to use and certainly allows visitors to "get right down to business" right away with the question submission and responses/previous posts listed right in front of you as soon as you visit the site.

To be honest though, I thought it was Yahoo! Answers as soon as I saw it. The website may have the same idea in mind (albeit for a singular subject), but it may be a good idea to try and pretty it up a little. I agree with others that a new logo may improve the look of the site, or at least use the same one, but with more legible text (it's a bit hard to read). The whole header portion (the area including the logo, search box and login/register links could be made to flow a little nicer. Putting them in the center of the white section could make it look a little less like it was just thrown together.

I also agree that the site does have a slight "spammy" look to it. This may be in part to size of the posts in the center section of the page. They may be the meat and potatoes of the website, but they have a very desperate "click me!" feel to them that reminds one of advertisements. Try playing around with making some of the fonts smaller and a little less striking. I also agree with adding some more background information and its positive influence concerning visitor trust.
