Looks pretty good... Maybe use some colored tables for the link section, though.

One thing I've noticed about your site that I haven't mentioned before is it seems to be overpowered by the ad banner, ---the banner is brighter, bigger, animated, etc.... At first glance, I see very little about Birmingham, and have to take a second look to see what your site is even about. (this could be your intent, I'm not sure). I think if you were to widen your heading to the full page width, It would look more like a page heading and "balance" the page a little bit better, right now I get an uneasy feeling with the way the top of your page looks, it's not polished on the top.
Again, I would bring more attention to the subheadings (bolder).

- I would still bin the bg.
- use a slightly coloured table bg on your nav bar - grey?
- one of your banners is centered, one is to the right.
