It is kinda weird to ask for feedback concerning a feedback service, but still)

Here it is: http://idea.informer.com/
Our feedback system is absolutely free; it's a tool to collect ideas concerning you website improvement from your users. Other users vote for ideas they like.

I'll greatly appreciate your opinions!

First impressions: looks good and professional. I'm immediately interested in using this for our site.\

The graphics on the home page explaining the service are good, but I find them to be very pale on my laptop. More contrast would be useful there.

Finicky things:

  • there are a lot of places on the site where you've used en dashes instead of proper bullets. Puting those ul and li's in there will make it look more polished.
  • On the leave feedback pop-up, at the bottom it has a link to "more 39 ideas" - should be "39 more ideas". I'm also not sure what the difference is between that link and the "show all" link on the left.
  • On the home page, the project sample box at the top doesn't line up with the other elements on the right side. There are some alignment issues on the left side towards the top as well.
  • Also on the home page, one more sample site would make it four across, which I think would look better than it does now with the empty space on either side

Sign up form:

  • Here you suddenly start talking about a "project", whereas the instructions on the home page talked about websites. Some of the help on the side mentions "product" as well. Terminology should be consistent
  • I feel that the layout of this page could use some fine-tuning. I'm not a fan of the grey background. It seems heavy. Form labels should have more emphasis, and the alignment needs work.

That's as far as I'm going to go right now. I will talk to my partner about using this for our sites. We are always open to feedback here in the forums, but this could invite another level of interaction. The voting up & down actions are always fun for people. We could always build this ourselves if we really wanted to, but using an external site is just easier, and could bring in some extra exposure.
