My website, Media Live, is a comprehensive news site that brings visitors the latest news from the world of movies, music, TV and video games. I aimed to make the site look "fun", which I think I achieved, but we'll see what you guys have to say! Laughing out loud

It's quite a new site, with the forums only having about 86 members, but we're growing well, and we have an ace arcade with hundreds of games. Sadly, I am not very good at any of them. Sticking out tongue

So, if anyone has some time to spare, i'd appreciate some website reviews!

Thank you, have a nice day! Smiling

Looks good at first glance. The colour scheme is nice and bright and the header graphic is well done (I hope you don't get in trouble for using that simpson's character!).

The front page could be optmized better to show off the content. The introduction is kind of redudant (and contains a glaring type-o). It would be okay if you were to explain in some detail what the site has and include some keywords for search engines. That, the quick links, and the big "welcome" graphic take up all of the "fold" space. That is, the part of the page that the user sees when the page first loads, before scrolling. There should be more here to bring the user deeper into the site and show off your content. The top content from the main section should be pulled onto this page, so the user can get going right away without having to navigate around.

Are you going to have some of your own content here or will the site just be links to other articles? It's going to be tough to search optimize a site without any of your own content.

The forum looks good - often people don't integrate forums into the main site very well. This one looks good.

The site don't look to bad, but I'm not a fan of the blue color

I checked your site on w3c
Failed validation, 40 Errors

Your keywords look a bit much. I usually have about 20 words max.

I found that Bart picture on render-world.com. I think I SHOULD be okay using it.

Oh my god, what a terrible typo, thanks for bringing that to my attention! You make a good point, I will rewrite the introduction. I do intend to have my own content there, it was infact the original plan. I didn't want to get people to put in loads of effort though if we didn't have an audience. It's VERY likely that having columns/reviews written by our own members will happen. Also, im glad you like the forum! Im happy with how it's integrated.

I'll look into getting it validated, although I don't know how to fix some of those errors. Also, I thought it was good to have lots of keywords?

I like the site because if your site catches on it will take off. You just need really good content. I like the site I just didnt care for the Media Live Affiliates on the side of your page.

My fav design layout atm! & i'm going through a phase of loving that blue colour as well lol

I really like the navbar too

the only tiny thing I can think to improve it, is maybe some different icons on the forum,
I think maybe even just using the : instead of would make it look rly good

other than that (and the errors of course) its great!
