Hey, I remember you, you entered to win my web design award (fb award). You have a good chance of winning but you can improve:

1) the java app. on the front page doesn't look good, and just makes it longer to load.

2)the top frame on the main page is too long for my screen, and the mousovers for the images are hard to read.

3) tell the size of the images, it will make it load a little faster.

ps. if you want to see what your up against, goto http://www.jmwebdesigns.com/12122k/index.htm

they have also applied for my award, and you site will be judged against it.

Hey, I've critiqued this site before!

I agree about the splash page thing - it's unnecessariy, espeically on today's low bandwidth web Smiling I like this mouseover idea better than the one you posted before, but they're hard to read - I don't know what you did wrong. Actually, all your header graphics are very hard to read - I liked the old ones better.

I still don't like the "Bandit Creations" border down the side - if you must use it, keep the text away from it.

For the template page, I would either just make a page with all the screen shots on them, or have them pop-up in a window just small enough to hold them - not a full size window.

I thought as much... hehehe you guys really enjoy this dontcha..

thanx for the crits.. i'll make the changes..

those page headers weren't designed by me by the way...had to give somebody their chance.. i'm thinking of putting the originals up again, and maybe using some IMAP's?

nobody really commented on that test-site(the dhtml)??

megs i'm getting rid of those two bars on the side...(making me sick as well hehehe ;->) they are just taking up space.

Hope you guys aren't disgusted, but i'm thinking of a totally new approach, and color scheme... there are plenty webdesign sites out there with the DARK scheme, but white space is MUCH more pleasing to the eye... i'll be designing on my OWN this time(nobody to mess up my plans) so you guys can see what I can really do... thanx for the crits!

- Use Java only where absolutely necessary.
- Unless you have a very good reason, avoid splash pages (pages which say only "Click here to enter". Someone visited your site; they want to enter it, they don't need to be asked.
