Please take a look at http://www.animationlibrary.com/ and tell me what you think of it. I am especially interested in knowing how quickly the site loads for you.

Thanks,

I love the navigation sidebar, and the way it matches the bar with the drop box.

As far as load time, here is what I got with IE5 and a 33.6 modem:

30 seconds total.
10 seconds before I could see the content area.

From other graphics sites I've seen, that is pretty good.

I think your traffic is at a point where you might consider using just your log files and a log file analysis script to get your stats. You might consider dropping at least two of the three counters/trackers on the page. They are known to slow loading time a bit since they load from other servers.

I like it overall though, you probably know that already though since I have you listed at my site. Smiling

Pretty good, Nice design and rollovers. The only thing i dont like is how the beveled edges look, i think you could blur tham a little to make them look more rounded, or if you have PSP5 try using a cutout.

Hi Yevgeniy,
took about 90 seconds to load with my 28.8 connection (my connection on this end has been sluggish lately though)
I really love how you've organized your animations, in fact I don't think I've ever seen such a precise listing of animations!!! I was looking for a greek flag and didn't have to wade through anything other then what I was looking for!!! BRAVO!!
The only potential problem I see is that maybe your too precise? Say for example I wasn't sure what I was looking for and wanted to view a broader selection, it would take ages to view each animation one at a time.
Layout:
I really like your graphics, something about they way they are arranged on the first page gives me an uneasy feeling, they don't seem to flow together. It could be the rounded edges next to the sharp ones (faster than ever) Maybe if you stretched the top bar to fit the whole screen width they would flow better.
I think you have too much space between your blue subheadings and the text below it -- page could be streamlined vertically by removing some of the space. I think the banner ads on the bottom look out of place, usually the page ends about where the copyright info is, you have a whole additional link section below that area. I think you could fill some of that extra space with your small ads and compact that first page.

take care,

In the same vein as Carolyn, I would suggest that you need a site search engine.

Thanks for suggestions, everybody.

I got rid of the HitBox tracker and the "Faster then ever" banner. In addition, I moved the content of the page around as Carolyn suggested to make it look more compact.
I also moved the banner at bottom of the page a little higher and the copyright statement lower. Do you think this looks better or worse then before?

Thanks,
Yevgeniy

PS: I am probably a little paranoid, but does anyone know of a service that will let me check how fast the site is loading with different browsers and from different parts of the world.
