is there a tool for this?

I'm making a website that helps busy clients find what they need online (i.e. we'll do the searching for them and in the end provide them with the information they asked for). I believe this would be a good idea because many people have very busy lives and having a service like this would benefit them greatly. At some point though, I want to have it so a small fee is charged for the answers, or a month-to-month fee. All I'm wondering is, is there a third-party tool that could help with the monetary aspect of the site when it gets to it?

To offer a service like this, paid or free, it would have to be better than search engines. Offering something more than what search engines, directories and local business listings already do for free.

Even if you performed the searching manually for them to get a better result, in truth I don't think many people would pay for such a service.

I presume by "third-party tool to help with the monetary aspect", you mean a payment gateway?

If yes, Paypal is one of the most used and is fairly easy to setup (depending on your requirements)
There are others, that work similar to Paypal, but it is the most recognised out there.

And welcome to the forum Smiling

As said above by Greg, Paypal is currently the most used payment processor. Its legit, safe, trusted and secure. There are others like Alertpay, Moneybookers, LibertyReserve, e-gold, Pecunix, Neteller(new), etc.. But the stability and number of customers on Paypal is unparalleled.
