I don't know where should i post this but i hope someone can help me. My problem is, before, i receive many visitors from google, but now, its decreasing. So i tried to google my site and some of my posts. and then i noticed that, in the search results, my blog name which is "wat's on the web?" appears instead of my Post title. Example, when i google "how to make minus one", the result will be "wat's on the web?" instead of my post title which is "how to make minus one", but the link goes to that post. But i'm just wonderin, why did it change? Have i done something wrong? Because before my Post title appears.. please help me...

Well, after reading your post nothing seems to wrong. You did nothing wrong.
Googlebot gives the indexer the full text of the pages it finds. These pages are stored in Google’s index database. This index is sorted alphabetically by search term, with each index entry storing a list of documents in which the term appears and the location(which is actually your blog) within the text where it occurs.

So the location is your blog and the search result is your post.All the way the result is same...you are getting your blog and pages indexed in google search engine which is a very good thing.

This is weird - i haven't seen anything like that before. They're not using your <title> tags in the search results like they usually do, they're just using your site title. Did you make any changes to the way your title tags are set up recently? That's the only thing I can think of. I checked another Blogspot site I know of and this isn't happening to them (just to make sure it wasn't a Blogspot thing).

Are you signed up for Webmaster Tools? Do that first. See what comes up under duplicate title tags. If that doesn't tell you anything, try the Google Webmaster help forum.

wazzupweb, if you check out the Google cached version of the "how to make minus one" page, you'll see that the page title was at the time Wat's On The Web?

I'm guessing that something was done on your site to effect the page titles so that when it was crawled on 23 May 2009 06:14:23 GMT the Wat's On The Web? page title was indexed.

I would wait until Google next crawls your site and see what happens.

In the meantime review what changes you made around 23 May 2009.

hey!! serpico.. i think I know what you are saying... I put a meta tag in my blog last may 23... Wat's On The Web?
something like that.
And I deleted it now... hopefully, when google crawls my site again, it would be okay now.. btw, THANKS FOR ALL YOUR REPLIES!!! Hopefully everything will be okay next time.. I used to have many visitors from google, but now, it's decreasing.

BTW, do u know any tips that i can do so the google can crawl my site atleast every other day? Because I'm updating my site now everyday..

Hi Wazzup. Not really. There is a Revisit-After meta tag, but it's pretty much obsolescent now. Here's an example

<meta name="revisit-after" content="15 days">

The best advice is to keep your content fresh and updated regularly. Google will soon pick up on how often you update your site ad how often it needs to crawl.
