Need suggestions for platform on which to build

Hello!

I'm looking to create a little website project similar to the website Rate My Teachers. But this is just gonna be a for fun type thing so I'm not too keen to build the whole thing from scratch. Is there something I can use to do most of the work for me that can handle this sort of user-generated voting and rating system?

Any point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like a job for Drupal. Check out the votingAPI and Five star modules.

well drupal is good, but you can also try joomla which is more user friendly.

wordpress would be a good choice too..with its plug-ins and good cms + its environment is easy to navigate and learn. designing would be easier too, i find WORDPRESS 3.0 an awesome change..
