I am looking to develop a bunch of my domain names.

I figured it was worth finding out... Are there any hosting plans that allow you to host multiple websites within one plan?

Not just add-on domains... But hosting plans that actually allow you to host multiple seperate websites.

Thanks in advance.

I suggest to opt for unlimited domains hosting providers with a fairly good disk space (at least 100GB) and at least 100 MyQSL databases.

Just do a googling with "top web hosting" and you will get lots of info. Anyhow get hands with the trusted names.

Good luck,

Another thing to look into is how they setup up the directory structure. I am with pair Networks (www.pair.com) and by default your first domain is mapped to [public_html]/username

I set mine up so that it maps to [public_html]/username/domain1 so another domain is not a subdirectory off of the main one..

ie. if this was your setup:
Domain1.com - [public_html]/username
Domain2.com - [public_html]/username/domain2

you could browse to http://www.Domain1.com/domain2 and see the contents of domain 2. For your own personally use, you may not care, but if you are hosting sites for customers....

although a good majority don't need it anymore, they also let you configure a different cgi-bin directory for each domain.

Also at pair, you get your own IP address for your main domain, then each additional domain you can either share with your main one, or pay $1/month if you have the need for a dedicated IP.

Also, depending on your skill level and needs, make sure their support options meet your needs, some you can't talk to someone (pair's basic account you only get e-mail support, the others you get phone support).

I have been with pair for going on 11 years now, and while there are other places that may be a little cheaper, their reliability and reputation throughout the years are well worth it for me.

I think most web hosting companies offer that. If you do a google search for "unlimited websites", you will pull up a bunch of companies that offer what you're asking about.

Great post, Greg!
Your company should be happy to have such a loyal customer.
That's really essential to know your host directory structure.

At Natcoweb we offer the same strucure, each domain and subdomain has a separate directory.

Have you tried HostPapa? They've very reasonable and provide unlimited domain hosting, unlimited bandwidth and you can basically do what you want with the space you get. For example, you could host a dozen sites, or you could host one site of your own AND eleven sites for someone else.

Yes, There are having a plan like this; called shared hosting: You can get more domains within one host plan with separate names too. You need to pay for one host plan depend upon your space and need to pay for domains registration as well.

I would suggest you to buy a cheap vps hosting package and host your multiple website on it with different IPs.

It really would be a lot cheaper for you to use the add-on domain feature. You will be able to get a lot more bang for your buck that way.
