Quick Photoshop question (is this a new feature)

I just noticed that in Photoshop CS3 there are different resampling options for resizing images (biliniear/bicubic/bicubic sharper etc.). I find this very handy! Produces much better results than the default.

My question is - is this new in CS3 or was it in previous versions and I just didn't notice?

Yes, it's also in previous versions. I can't wait to upgrade. I did the CS3 beta. and that new smart selection tool makes it totally worth the upgrade for me.

So which version did that start with?

... haven't tried the smart selection tool yet. Unfortunately I don't do much more than resize images anymore Sad

I would totally love to get CS3 if I had 833235812421 dollars to spare... Sticking out tongue

Seriously though, I went to Staples yesterday to get some office supplies, and I thought I might check out the software section to see if they even offered tools like that. They do, for way beyond my budget. Sad...

Not sure how far back, but version 7 has only Nearest Neighbor, Bicubic, and Biliniar. CS2 has all of the oprions that CS3 has. I skipped the first CS upgrade, so I don't know if the extra options were added then or not.
