Hi guys

Someone has asked to know the pantone colour for something, but in Illustrator i get shown the hexadecimal number. Can i change a setting to be able to see the pantone version of it?

Cheers

Hi Rob,
There's a (free?) set of Pantone libraries available from Adobe that may help. Otherwise, google something like "adobe illustrator pantone color" as I did.

I do not have Illustrator, so I hope this helps.

Hey Rob, is this something that you've designed yourself in Illustrator? Is the document in RGB or CMYK mode? Usually, if the person is asking for the Pantone swatch number, it means that they're probably looking to have the artwork printed professionally using offset presses. If you've designed a logo for them, using RGB or CMYK colors, you're going to have a hard time finding the Pantone swatch equivalent. You're best off getting a Pantone to Process swatchbook, and looking up the CMYK recipe in the swatchbook, and try to find the closest Pantone color that'll match your artwork.

If you give me more info, maybe I can help you out. Cool
