I also agree that 120 seconds is a little long. Make it like 20 or 30 seconds.

The Flood-Control is active to prevent spammers from posting too fast, that´s it.

I think 2 minutes is a reasonable time to think and post, or not?

Since when did thinking become a prerequisite of posting? That changes my entire outlook.

I agree that 120 seconds is a little too long. It doesn't happen often, but every now and then I run into that limit and it's a little annoying. How about dropping it to 60-90 seconds. It's unlikely for a person to be able to post more than once in that time period, but it's probably long enough to stop the spammers/flooders.

I think 120 seconds is a little to much! It is so annoying to have to wait at my computer that long. I would recommend taking it down lower, maybe 15-30 seconds?

Chad,
With the curren't settings members have to wait 120 seconds after 1 post, before they can post another.

Shows how much I know about UBB

I have never ran into the problem, but I can see the argument... Doesn't really matter to me. I will leave it up to Patrick.

i think a minute would be nice. met us in the middle plz.

also i wouldn't list the time one has to wait inbetween post if detering spammers is the objective. most are kids and when they get the first message they just think they got busted some how and stop.

OK 60 secs it is.
However I will have to set it to a higher number again if some spammers abuse it...
