The contest was fun, and I entered to force myself to do something I do not normally do....a table-less layout.

Thanks to everyone who participated, it was a really fun contest. We will be following up with the next Impossible Design Challenge in the new year.

I know what you mean Matt, Andy's was a great entry. Shame we can't do this like Eurovision, where each person assigns scores to each entry (or not in the case of England, where every other country in Europe always gangs up on us. Smiling )

I think that 'Rodents Reunited' could be some good inspiration for another contest. This one I took to be more about design, but seeing that great content makes me think that a contest where you need good design and some kick*** content would be a double challange.

Those of us who do work for clients normally get the content delivered to us, so we don't really get to stretch those writing muscles except on our personal sites.

They also don't seem to be keeping in mind the fine unique content generated by some of the entrants Smiling

Anyway, we'll wait and see what happens at the end of the poll. The original process did have some admin input but since there were only 6 entries they all got into the poll. I also will be making an executive decision about how the prizes are awarded depending on the results of the poll.

I've just noticed that the 3 sites with the 'red' as the main colour have the votes, whilst the 3 with 'brown' currently have zero. Coincidence? or the work of colour's influence over the sub-concious? Laughing out loud

I have to admit, I was under the impression that it was going to be a decision made behind closed doors by the admins not a public vote...

I think the decision should be made 'strictly come dancing' style where the public vote makes up 50% of the total marks and then a panel of 5 judges give marks out of ten for each entry to make up the other 50%. The overall winner is then the person who has the highest percentage. Wink

(but I'm just bitter because I have no votes so far) Wink

DDos's entry is corrected, as is Demonhale's spelling.

Thanks to everyone who voted so far!

I really don't have a problem with entrants voting. Just try to be honest about which one you really think is the best Smiling On the honour system Smiling

I don't see anything particularly wrong with entrants voting... although voting for yourself is a bit cheeky. I've voted (for somebody else), but if anyone is really against it, I can let megan know who I voted for and we can discount my vote Smiling

DDosAttack's entry is a Forum attachment, maybe that's why nobody can view it?

Geez I hope that entrants voting was a 'tougue in cheek' remark! Honor system!

Oooo this is going to be trickier than I thought. I can't access DDos's entry via that link though as it says I don't have permission. Any ideas why that is?
