createdatetime expression in CF

Can someone please tell me how to use the CreateDateTime expression? I've tried looking online and in my CF documentation but I just don't understand it.

The plan is to get the date and time into a database field so I need the date & time to be in a CF form field. I'm not sure if this is possible though.
