XML on a MacIntosh

Has anyone tried to build an application in XML that is compliant with both a PC and a Mac? Was there any special things to watch out for when developing on a Mac?

I realise that this is still being checked out by the W3C but anyone that has any info on building XML applications especially with ecommerce, I would be grateful.
