Hi, does anyone know what's plentyoffish secret is to run his site on 1 web server while other companies need 30 or more?

Whoever he is, he probably doesn't have that many clients or he's vastly overselling the service (offering his users more capacity than he actually has). Naturally, overselling is a bad practice but many companies do it to keep up with the bigger companies.
