Customer information section - Any CGI scripts that you know of that can do this?

Hello. I am looking to start a customer information section for my web site. I would like it to check username/password combination, and then display customized information for that user. For example, they would enter their username and password and it would display their name, address, account name, password, package, and ammount due.

Is there any cgi script that can do this? Any ideas? Thanks.

hmmmm... a custom script would work best. I created a simular system for my WallStOnline.com investment contest. It allows the user to enter their username and password to see their current stock selections and user information. This forum program even uses it when you want to edit your profile.

I am sure there is a cgi script that can do this and there is always the option of creating one. We are in the process of creating our own user area that will work along these principles, except it will have A LOT more featuers but it is going to be programmed in ASP and then eventually CF. It will be connected to a database (probably Access for a while, and then moved to a SQL). I know there is also a lot of ISP billing software packages on the 'net but as Jason said in another post, they are going to cost you between $2,000 and $15,000. I think you are best to see what you can find that is already made but it is going to cost you some money.
