Wsp42005, welcome to WMF.

Do you have a fixed IP address or a dynamic one?
Is this Apache for Windows or Linux?

So where are you in MS? I am in Memphis.

If you are going to have a dynamic IP, then you will have to use one of the services like TZO or Granite Canyon . These will keep up with your IP changes and forward the requests to your site to the new IP.

Apache has a pretty good Windows tutorial that should get you started.

Also, if your connection is DSL or Cable, most providers would/could cancel your service if you are running a webserver through them. Check your ISP's service agreement first.
