Follow these steps but only an admin can do so:

AdminCp
Forums and Moderators
find the forum you want closed
Click edit
Scroll down to Posting Options
Where it says Forum is Open ... Select No

Nope, not switching from vBulletin, I started off from Drupal. And yes closing a thread is something I learned from vBulletin.

YOu're welcome! So did you switch from vBulletin or something? Sometimes it's hard to get out of their ways of doing things, or even what they're calling things. They call it "closing" a thread, but really what you're doing is setting comments to read only.

Thank you Megan, Drupal has

Thank you Megan, Drupal has so many features hidden in it. I never knew what read/write means.

As soon as I selected this option on a forum topic, it displayed a "locked" button on the thread.

Thank you, next time I will mention Drupal in title

Hi usmanz,

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner - you should have put Drupal in the title! Then I would have noticed for sure.

Do you not have an option to set comments to read only? This is what you're trying to do, right?

The reason why i asked Drupal

The reason why i asked Drupal problem on this forum is because this forum is built using Drupal CMS.
They must be doing something to close threads.

And by the way, Drupal does not have any email support because they are free.
When you post on their help forums, there is no guarantee you will get a response.
