Its new features are related to html, CSS, DOM and javascript. I don't see too many people using HTML5 yet, and not all browsers support HTML5 yet. I guess after under-going lot of changes, some stable version of HTML5 may become the latest standard of HTML after the current HTML4 version.

Acc. to me, HTML5 is intended more for blogs as it has tags like and what not!

I guess HTML is common editor to make a website, it is commonly recommended. But some say Flash CS is also an alternative and it is user friedly specially for newbie or starter.

I think,HTML 5 is the next version of HTML 4.It's rarely used and with the help of HTML 5 we can easily and quickly find any type of information or pictures.So overall it's good version of HTML.
