Well, a free domain is a big like a free lunch; you will probably end up paying for it in one way or another.

However, they throw in your domain name with your subscription, so you as long as you keep paying your subscription, the domain name will be free.

I have been very impressed by Hostmonster.

I think that they may be a dollar or so more expensive than the cheapest, but they do offer a PostgreSQL database, which I prefer to MySQL.

They have unlimited hosting of supposedly unlimited domain names and unlimited server space.

However, I think they limit you to one hundred databases (which certainly should be enough!).

Additionally they have easy-to-install CMS (Drupla, Joomla, etc), Forums, Blog hosting options as per the screenshot below:

I've only had 2 problems minor with them, once when I crashed the MySQL Server, and they were both resolved quickly using their chatline even though it was 3 o'clock in the morning in Nevada, or where ever they are based.
