My school recently changed

My school recently changed hosts, and the new host was able to help a lot with the transition. As the site has a lot of applications on it - bulletin board, WordPress blog, multiple student accounts and such - the task was not easy. I don't know the details, though.

I suggest you approach your new host with this question. Hopefully they will be as helpful.

Using any FTP client, login

Using any FTP client, login to your CURRENT site, highlight all all of your website's files and download them to a folder on your PC.
Logout of the current website in your FTP client.

Login to your NEW server with the FTP client, highlight all the website files you downloaded to your PC and upload them to the new server.

Make sure you upload them to the correct folder on the server - the one where the public http is supposed to be. Most servers use something like "httpdocs" or "public_html" (or similar).

Please ask if you need further instructions, such as you don't know which folder is the public http, or cannot use the FTP client etc.

And welcome to TWF
