Thanks for the comments guys, I definitely get the "looks empty" comments.

Any suggestions on how I can make the home page more attractive without just cluttering it with text?

Thanks

Your site looks quite unattractive due to huge empty place. Why don't you try to cover this gap?

Looks clean but the front page is a bit empty (I agree with Tsid). I don't understand the purpose of the website, maybe you can elaborate more your welcome page to let those who don't know about friend codes understands the purpose of this site. You can also add about page for that.

hmm.. by now i see no menu at all, so will comment on other points:

- I like the color scheme. Try not to overload it when adding more content

- I'd suggest a logo or something like in the header - now it looks too simple

- In general looks light and clean, just a bit empty for now..

webwiz wrote:
The horizontal menu at the top of the page overflows onto a second line this end. Probably due to the 11px font size on body. I have a minimum font size of 12px on my browsers, and using a small base size bumps up all fonts when you use a small base font size. Also note that pixel sized fonts cannot be made larger in any version of Internet Explorer.

Use any non-IE browser and increase the text size to see what I am seeing. Apart from that flaw it's a nice design, and well coded. But you should do something[1] about all that JavaScript!

Suggestion: Float the menu UL right, instead of pushing it over with the search container. You'll then need to contain[2] the two floats inside the #menu to stop it collapsing.

Thanks for the comments, I'll look into the menu bar issue.

The reason for the JS is probably due to the use of AJAX, unfortunately I haven't got any control over it (I haven't written any JS on the site).

Thanks again - much appreciated.
