Depends really on what you are looking to use it for. anything graphicy,, filmy, webby type stuff...a mac, anything gamy, simple and average....probably dell or samsung.

If you use the notebook mainly for business,i think Dell is the best choicefor its good quality and performance,what is more, the battery durability is very recommended.
As for home usage, i would recommend ASUS for its hardware is better than other brand notebook.it is sell very good online.

I am now with HP, work's well for me. I also have a HP mini notebook. Since I always have out of town trips, it's very convinient to bring anywhere. It's actually not a high end laptop but I can use it even while in coffee shops.

I've been with HP for quite sometime now, I've had my first HP desktop when I was in college and I think it's also cool.

Though my brother always brag about how cool his Mac Book is. Too bad I don't have one. So, I guess it will be HP amd Me for quite sometime.

Toshiba, Acer, HP I have a Toshiba myself, which has been great. Two of my customers swear by their Acers as does "lilhurricane".

I think that's true of nearly all "standard" laptops, unless you buy higher priced or specific for battery life.

I think Mac's are a choice thing. The equivalent on a PC is not only cheaper, but arguably better. (Let's not get into THAT argument though ... please)

I think he said that HP laptops are highly configurable for a professional - I know that mine is...

I would say my main complaint is battery life, probably less than one hour - but that is rarely an issue. You have to make some compromises for the performance and big, bright screen.

My mom has a Mac and I help her with it. So does my friend J. So does my uncle and all four of my cousins. I guess they are good for high-end graphics designers (not my cup of tea) but a lot of admin procedures are obscure and counter-intuitive.

My mother was looking for a picture transferred from her camera. All her images were all mixed up in iPhoto. Maybe that is a set up issue, I also have a Canon camera and my images are all neatly sorted in dated folders in my Pictures folder.

And, Macs are known to be more expensive for equivalent computing power. If you gotta have it...
