&lt;p&gt;Unless the form is password-protected (and sometimes even if it is) it will be spammed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I suggest that you add captcha authentication - &lt;a href=&quot;http://recaptcha.net/&quot;&gt;ReCaptcha&lt;/a&gt; is a popular method.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You might also consider &lt;a href=&quot;http://mollom.com/&quot;&gt;Mollom&lt;/a&gt;, developed by Dries Buytaert (who developed Drupal)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Finally, if you do not want to add this type of active authentication, I have had limited success with placing a &quot;listener&quot; on the submit button, to check if a mouse is over it when the form is submitted - but this does not block all spams.&lt;/p&gt;
