As the original issue is now resolved, I would still prefer it if the attachment could be removed. If not for SEO purposes then it still makes sense that we wouldn't want site visitors finding their way to it.

And it's a separate page, here on TWF (generally I use base href= on these attachments to position them in the original site's base href

I think that greg is correct, that Google will mark it as secondary content from a later date.

Also, the links to other content on the site are preserved so it could help with indexing.

I will consider adding a noindex robots meta tag in the future, but as for now, this cat is already out of the bag...

I think it's safe to assume Google and other SE algorithms and methods are a little more intelligent than that these days.
They will likely know it's a forum post sig, or at the least they WILL recognise it's only a LINK, and the content isn't actually index from this site.

If anything it will help a bit.
