I use rsync for my cPanel servers as well. They run the normal backup script to a local drive, and then the backups are rsynced to another server.

You will love Rsync! I just started using it. We have a client that instead of keeping their product information on the site through our usual CMS, they do a nightly export from their POS software. We use Rsync each night to grab the excel file and all the images and text description files that their system exports. Does a fantastic job where as using an ftp connection kept dieing out.

They use a windows server, so had them install Delta Copy I think it is, that puts an rsync daemon on the windows machine. This is a great program for using rsync on windows, both in server and client mode.
