I like this site and its design is smooth and easy to navigate around.
I like the way it has been laid out and i have to agree with sam132 since it does look a little like a blog.

Nice articles and the way you have laid those out are good.

I think this site has alot of potential! but i'm a bit confused by the layout it kinda looks like a blog, so perhaps you should mix this up a bit? and I think the site should have a short description making it obvious what it actually is! (e.g. relating to the magazine). I like the way the archive of articals is displayed so these are easily accessed rather than going through a type of database to find them.

Thanks TerribleTerry,

I appreciate your input as well. I took your comment and the comment from mscreashuns and changed the text to black on white for better reading. I also am working at rewriting my meta tags for better focus on what myrev.org is all about. I really thank you guys for all of you comments and suggestions. They are very helpful.

I do agree with most of what

I do agree with most of what was said immediately above this by mscreashuns but a couple of things I would add. From the point of view of a reader that weak gray text on white is too hard to read. I actually gave up.

The picture half way down the page is far too dark and I can't tell what it is about.

The most important thing though is that your visitors from search engines will be zero and that is largely because it seems that even you don't know what the page is about.

OK I may be being a little harsh but you need to decide the real reason for the page existing and to build that reason into your Title, Meta Tags and body text etc.

There is an article here which I hope will help you understand what I am driving at.

http://www.apaddedcell.com/making-web-pages-search-engine-friendly

I think this website has

I think this website has plenty of potential, but it's just going to sit there if you don't beef this up and fix some minor problems I see.

First of all, I took a look at the actual magazine from the first page, and while I like the idea of the flash magazine viewer, I think you could alter the page title, "Flash Page Flip," to something that is cohesive with your website. Also, the magazine could use a little work to become a bit more professional-looking. I know this is quite new, so that will probably just come with time, but it's a bit bland, colorless, and could use some pictures, graphics, and interesting fonts. As for grammar and spelling, just on the seventh page I found three mistakes. For instance, "fast paced" should be hyphenated (fast-paced), earth should be capitalized in the sense that you used it (Earth), and "re-arrange" should not be hyphenated (rearrange). You might want to think about working with someone to proofread your articles and that kind of thing. In fact, if you were interested, I wouldn't mind working a little bit with you on the magazine proofreading. Send me a PM if you're interested.

As for the actual website, I think that you could use a bit more color. You want this to be exciting and interesting, so add some color to the header, which could use a better logo. Actually, it needs a logo in the first place. That's just text. Then, use some eye-popping color that will draw the eye to the content and make the user interested in reading what's presented. The text color I think needs to be darker or larger. That light gray on white is difficult to read to me. Most of the content is good, and you seem to be filling it well.

For people entering your website new, I think you need a bit more of an explanation of what each part of your website serves for. For instance, I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to see on the "myrevtv," and I think the "get.exposure" pages each could use some explanations of the provisions written there. Work on organization a bit. For instance, the sidebar links are very strange, and the front page is just a hodgepodge of different things to someone who enters not knowing what to expect.

Lastly, for instance on the "archives" page under "quotes," it says "Coming soon...," and perhaps it's just a pet peeve of mine, but I hate when I see "Coming soon." I would rather the link just was not there and I did not know what I could not access yet.

Like I said, there is a lot of potential here if you make some minor adjustments.

I took a look at this site and i quite liked the green mouse over link effects.

I think that the Flash player magazine idea was good and i liked it.

Overall, i give it 7-10 since we all know that no site is perfect.

Honestly, I didn't know

Honestly, I didn't know where to start reading it. I know there's the "Open Rev Magazine Now!" link - but what's in there and why would I click on it? (Table of Contents?)

And I really don't understand what the text under that box is for - is it part of the magazine? Editorial? Notes? I assume that the paragraphs beginning "a drastic..." is your mission statement, but nothing about it stands out when it's with the other text.
