You can use all kinds of free off-the-shelf image gallerys now which would intergrate your large collection art much more smoothly. Also remember, that when hosting pictures on the web, your best having a web optimised version to help shorten download times. Even on my T1 fibre link, your website was quite slow.

This is a college project, the forums have been invaded by students from Algonquin College (not that we mind at all!).

If you try to buy something it'll say 'feature not implemented yet', most of the Algonquin students remembered to mention that it's just a college project, this person forgot though.

Ah, I see you've removed the black border. Big props for being the only Algonquin student to act on our advice! Still got those <p class="title"> tags in there though.

I do think it looks better without the black border. It's easy to make things look too boxy, this looks good now. Overall this is a solid design too.

Like the logo, it's artsy in itself, so reflects the content well. The way it pokes over the top of the main content is pleasing, something else to stop it looking to boxy.

The breadcrumbs are good, looking in the art gallery (and at images in it) they show where the user is on the site and are linked properly. My only quibble is that they don't immediately look like links, just normal text. What is good is that you didn't link the current page: important for usability.

My only other quibble would be that the page titles might look better left-aligned. Also, designing using tables for layout is not done these days, not sure whether you're being taught that however.

Great ideas thanks! You're definitely right about the title class, it makes more sense to use h1..h2.. etc.

A couple suggestions:

Remove the black border around the page content (but not the left side navigation) just to see what'd it look like (maybe you'll like it better that way)
Make the logo/header link to the homepage. It's a pretty standard thing now, and it makes it easy to get back to the homepage
On each individual art page, you might want to put a checkout/add to cart button instead of just one generic buy now button on the left side navigation

From a search engine optimization perspective, I have a few concerns:

Every page on the site has the same < title >
Every page has the same meta-description

Looking at the code I see you have a p class called "title". Why not replace that with an h1 or h2? Those heading tags are meant to be used for titles!
