Before we implemented the signature rules we were having a lot of problems with people posting junk. Now we've removed most of the incentive for doing that.</p> <p>We do approach the spam issue differently than many other forums, although I understand that one of the other big webmaster forums does not allow you to link to your own site at all. The benefits here are really quite normal for people who actually participate in the forum.
