&lt;p&gt;I have reviewed the Basecamp tour and seems a great tool. Basically we need to track pending action items and assign them. Bugs can also be considered tasks. Privacy is not really a concern as long as we develop personal non-profit projects, just for fun and to share information with others.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&#039;m also considering php-collab, dotproject and egroupware. Any advice?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Also Basecamp has no facility for bug tracking, you could either use some other bug tracker or just use to-do lists. You might not need to manage bugs that closely.&lt;/p&gt;
