    <description> &lt;p&gt;FWIW - The page looks the same in my browser, Opera 9.21 on Win xp, as you show it in Firefox. A quick trip to the validator[1] indicates 155 HTML errors. Fixing some of those should help.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I didn&#039;t look any further, as the page took too long to load on dial-up. At 400k bytes, it&#039;s about ten times the recommended maximum page size.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Your HTML is very messy, has two html top sections (html, head, /head, body) and no bottom section (/body,/html).  Oops i tell a lie, you do have the bottom section tags, they are after your first table but should be at the bottom of the page.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Change your DOCTAG to:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;this will allow your page to display in quirks mode, then if you still have the gaps, remove the align=&quot;bottom&quot; from the top row of spacers, add a fixed height to the table tag:&lt;/p&gt;

    <title>works in IE but not in firefox</title>
