&lt;p&gt; For basic stuff lke what your wanting they would be about the same but IM could be a fraction less code.&lt;br /&gt;
IMO IM (ImageMagick) has more power and control for bigger apps. but it comes down to user preference. It&#039;s like Mozilla and Opera - both do the same job well but some perfer one over the other.&lt;/p&gt;
